Hand-signed by artist indicates that a poster bears the artist's own hand-written signature.
Most posters of the Polish School of Posters contain the artist's name &/or signature in the design. However, since these posters were created to be placed on the fences and buildings of the streets of Poland, they were never initially hand-signed by the artist. On rare occasions, a few artists have subsequently hand-signed their posters. An artist's signature adds authenticity as well as value to the poster and is sought after by collectors.
